If you know everything about your business, change business.

If you believe you already know pretty much everything there is to know about your business, then change business. Go do something else. You`re wasting your time, not challenging yourself and growing. Or admit you don’t know everything. Be humble. Listen to others. Learn from them and from each experience you have. Understand that you don’t HAVE to know everything about your business to be a good professional. Good professionals, successful entrepreneurs and innovation geniuses all share a common trait: they know they don’t know everything. There will always be something to be discovered or someone else that knows more about something that you do. And that’s great! You should know how to recognize the best qualities and the specialties of each person around you, and make good use of it. Make people realize how important they are for the project, for the company, for the business, and you will see they flourish, you will see them giving that “extra mile” without you needing to ask for it. Let your team mates be creative. And if they’re not, that’s ok! Some people thrive when they have a creative environment where they can try, make mistakes and innovate, but other people really thrive bringing into reality what was imagined by someone else. And that’s what makes a team great. Great leaders know how to lead by example and know when and how to delegate. It’s not about control. It’s about getting there together. As a team. And by doing so you will learn from each experience, enriching your own knowledge and become a newer, better version of yourself. Someone who knows just a little bit more today than yesterday.
